There's one brand called "Sun Seven", what caught my attention is the arabic letter transliteration of the brand name: سن سون!!! looool; you just can't make things like this up!! :p
I wonder how will this brand fare here!
P.S.: For non arabic speakers: the word Seven was transliterated as "Soon" for some reason making the arabic pronunciation: "San Soon" which in Kuwaiti slang the term referes to the stuff that comes out of a runny-nose, what ever that is called.

the translator was more than likely persian himself. persians cannot differentiate between the "v" and "oo" sounds, just like spaniards cant differentiate between "v" and "b" (valencia/balencia) and arabs cants differentiate between "p" and "b".
so, since the "v" and "oo" sounds are "the same" in persian, the translator did not take into consideration that those sounds wouldnt be "the same" for speakers of other languages, or just didnt realize.
there you have it :)
This kinda reminds me of the Iranian detergent Barf :D Baarf in Persian means snow.
@ rock a bye: "persians cannot differentiate between the "v" and "oo" sounds" actually we persians can't distinguish between the "v" and the "w" sound, e.g we say Vat do you vant?
But as far as I know we have no problems between the "v" and the "oo" sound.
The difference here is between the pronunciation of و in Arabic and Persian. This letter is stm pronounced as "V" and stm as "oo" in persian.
سون in persian could be read as
Seven
"w"= "oo"
i meant the sound, not "double yew" ;)
